No Man Left Behind Spotlight: Naples, Florida
Man in the Mirror recently held a No Man Left Behind (NMLB) Essentials training at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Naples, Florida. The training event was attended by 40 leaders from 17 churches in the Naples area. With Brett Clemmer’s easy, humorous and insightful delivery, the atmosphere was relaxed and the teaching well received. What excited Peter Hone (local Area Director) the most was the mix of both denominations and size of churches, with 5 of those represented being large, influential churches in the region. But it was wonderfully clear that NMLB can help small churches too.
One interesting aspect is the St. Matthew’s House – a local ministry that rehabilitates men recovering from addictions – sees our model as the way forward to helping their men begin a new life in Christ through discipleship. What a blessing!
The training was a great boost to men’s discipleship, as all the churches represented want to begin working with Peter. He has already had meetings with leadership teams of several churches, and is leading a workshop on June 18 with 18 leaders from a large church in Fort Myers. He has also had some churches contact him as a result of the NMLB training.
